The 24v stock headgasket material leaves alot to be desired. Headgasket failures are not unheard of on stock engines and can be a common occurance on modified motors. Do to the increased boost and drive pressure associated with modifying the performance of the Cummins 24v engine, headgasket failure is becoming more and more frequent! PDW takes a much better designed cummins gasket for the 12v marine engine and has it modified to fit the 24v engine. This gasket can be used with or without O-rings.
