Formula 1 Camshafts:
PDW carries 2 different camshafts produced by Formula 1. These camshafts are not regrinds but are actually ground from a blank cam. These cams are harder than OEM cams but not so hard as to need aftermarket lifters. In fact these cams are designed to use your original lifters which save a lot of time during installation. Because of their design and being ground from blanks these cams offer a large increase in valve lift yet afford increased valve to piston clearance over OEM, no more flycutting pistons! The cams also come standard with a fuel pump gear lobe which allows for utilization of a mechanical fuel pump for maxium reliability. Cams are offered with either the pressed on or bolted gear.
Formula 1 HELIX Two Camshaft: This cam is a step up from the level 1 camshaft. Aftermarket springs are recommended when using this camshaft. You can expect to see even lower egt's, better spoolup, slightly increased fuel mileage , plus broader HP and TQ curves than the level 1 camshaft.
Formula 1 HELIX Three Camshaft: This is an "all out" performance camshaft! Aftermarket springs are required when utilizing this camshaft. Dyno runs have confirmed over a 100 ft lbs increase in max TQ. Power bands are drastically increased, and spoolup is nothing short of excellent.
